Insurance and Bad Faith

Attorney Bud Ashbach spent several years working for the Washington State Insurance Commissioner’s office, and has vast knowledge of insurance pitfalls and tactics insurance companies use to deny you what is rightly yours.  With over 34 years of combined experience, the lawyers of Ashbach Law Offices are here to represent you in your fight against the wealthy and powerful insurance companies. Choose Experience. Choose Knowledge. Choose Ashbach Law Offices.  360-659-4950.

Despite insurance companies’ best efforts, in 2007, voters in Washington passed Referendum 67, a law that made it unlawful for insurers to unreasonably deny claims filed by their insureds.  This new law allows for treble damages and attorney fees when, after a trial, a judge or jury determines that an insurance company denied a valid insurance claim.

This new law has helped to alleviate a major insurance problem. Some accident and personal injury victims file claims which are then denied, in bad faith, by insurance companies.  If you have been injured in an accident, and you feel your insurance company has unfairly denied your claim, the insurance company may have acted in bad faith, and you may be entitled to treble damages and attorney fees.

The lawyers at Ashbach Law Offices will fight to make sure that insurance companies who deny claims in bad faith, mishandle claims, or delay payments will be punished for their actions and that you get the money and coverage you deserve.
